I just finished installing this private job. I designed and built the cabinets. The design incorporated wrapping the existing base board and chair rail around the base cabinets as well as adding wainscoting to the door and side of the base cabinet to match the wainscoting on the walls. I was pleased with how it turned out and more importantly my client was very pleased.
You can click on any of the images to see a larger version. If you had asked me a while back if I ever thought I would make a drum, I would have laughed. Well, I made a drum. The case of the drum is cherry and it was made using stave segments. The drum skin is goatskin. It sounds pretty good as well. A fun project!

You can click on any of the images to see a larger version. The second piece is a small bowl (6 1/2″ diameter I attended a talk on Marketing and Art. The talk was given by Kevin Monahan, the Special Projects Director for the Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida. The talk was hosted by Works of Art Gallery. Kevin was a very personable and engaging speaker. He first defined marketing as being As the name suggests this book has pictures of 500 wooden bowls, and what an inspirations they are! The book is a collection of photographs of a wide variety of bowls, from the simple and elegant to the seemingly impossible. The photography is very good. There is a brief description of each I was invited to share a booth with some fellow wood turners at an art gallery. The name of the gallery is Works of Art. We have named our venture “The Turning Arts Group, LLC”. It’s been a very busy couple weeks. After a lunch meeting with the other turners involved, there are six I mailed off a couple pens for submission in the Pen Display at the 7th Annual Penturners Rendezvous held in Provo, Utah and hosted by the Penmakers Guild.
