The Turning Arts Group

I was invited to share a booth with some fellow wood turners at an art gallery.

The name of the gallery is Works of Art. We have named our venture “The Turning Arts Group, LLC”.

It’s been a very busy couple weeks. After a lunch meeting with the other turners involved, there are six of us, the project took on a life of its own. Before we knew it we had rented the space, formed an LLC and were busy building shelves and pedestals and making signs. I built the four octagonal pedestals in the picture and will be making a frame for the sign.

Yesterday’s project was to build a couple of pen display stands so that I can get some of my pens in the booth. I am also working on some other larger turnings to display. On Saturday we had our first sale, an apple wood vase by one of the other turners in the group. We are planning a grand opening for later this month.

I’m very fortunate to be included in this talented group.
