    great article on pen boxes. I have made about a dozen so far but this looks a lot easier than how I make mine. Hinges the same will now make mine in the same way. and like you say you have to make them in batches. I now have a bigger router as I burnt the last one out doing the groove for pen about 10 years ago. 
ps. have just started turning again so can not wait to make the boxes.
